Medicine Built on Relationship, Not Regulations
Dr Jo Ann Beltre
Dr. Jo Ann Beltre is a board-certified pediatrician with over two decades of experience in general pediatrics, adolescent medicine, adult and pediatric urgent care, public health, and global health. Known by her patients and community as “Doctor Jo,” she is deeply committed to delivering compassionate, accessible, and expert care to children and families.
A proud New Hampshire resident (born and raised in Kingston), Dr. Jo brings her mobile medical practice to life with a mission: to restore the human connection in healthcare by meeting patients where they are. Through WanderCARE, she offers house calls and telemedicine, combining expert clinical skill with warmth, convenience, and trust.
Dr. Jo earned her undergraduate degree in Zoology and Anthropology with honors from Connecticut College, her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Connecticut. She has served as a medical director, led urgent care teams across New England, and cared for patients in diverse settings — from urban hospitals to rural villages around the world.
Fluent in Spanish and trained as a master instructor in neonatal resuscitation, Dr. Jo has led medical teams to the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Madagascar, Tanzania, and beyond. Her approach is shaped by a deep respect for culture, family, and the resilience of children everywhere.
When she’s not caring for patients, you’ll find Dr. Jo adventuring outdoors, enjoying life with her husband and two children, or planning her next global volunteer mission.
Meet Dr. Jo: Your Partner in Health Across Seacoast NH and Northern MA
I’m Dr. Jo Ann Beltre, but to my families, I’m simply Dr. Jo.
As a board-certified Pediatrician, I spent years working in the traditional healthcare system. I saw firsthand how the "hamster wheel" of insurance-based medicine—short appointments, long waiting rooms, and impersonal kiosks—left both doctors and parents feeling disconnected. I knew there had to be a better way to care for our children.
That’s why I founded WanderCARE Pediatrics.
Why I Chose Direct Primary Care (DPC)
I believe that every child deserves a doctor who actually knows them. By moving to the Direct Primary Care model, I’ve stepped away from the insurance red tape to focus entirely on my patients.
For families in Epping, Portsmouth, Exeter, and Newburyport, this means:
No Middlemen: I work directly for you, not an insurance company.
Radical Accessibility: Whether you’re visiting me at my Epping office or I’m coming to your home in Hampton or Dover, you have my undivided attention.
Affordability: By offering transparent memberships, I can provide high-quality care that is often more cost-effective for families with high-deductible plans.
The WanderCARE Mission
The name WanderCARE reflects my belief that health is a journey. Whether you are navigating the "4th Trimester" with a newborn, managing a chronic condition, or preparing for international travel, I am here to guide you.
I don’t just treat symptoms; I support the whole child and the whole family. At my practice, there is no waiting room and no impersonal check-in process. I greet you at the door because I value your time and your trust.
Beyond the Clinic
When I’m not providing house calls around the NH Seacoast, or seeing patients in my Epping boutique office, I am likely "wandering" myself—spending time with my family and enjoying the beautiful Seacoast community we call home.
I am proud to be a local business owner and a dedicated healthcare advocate for the families of Seacoast NH and Northern MA.
